Welcome to my corner of the internet.

I'm Simone Paget, a writer, and podcaster based on the West coast of Canada. I'm a nationally syndicated sex columnist with the Toronto Sun and host of the podcast, We're Never Doing This Again. As a seasoned lifestyle and travel writer, my words and photography have appeared in Apartment Therapy, Insider, The Knot, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and more. Read some of my favorite clips here.

My Story

I believe that stories are powerful and that we all have the power to change ours. I create for people who are still trying to figure it all out and want company on the journey. Using humor and candor, I tell stories that playfully shine a light on our dark places. I’m particularly obsessed with the idea of personal rebirth through trauma, owning your desires, and embracing the pleasures that allow us to feel like our most authentic selves.

I started my blog, Skinny Dip in 2009 as a way to sort through the romantic wreckage of my twenties. I now write full-time about sex, dating, relationships, food, and travel (& more) for some of your favorite publications.

Since 2013, I’ve been the nationally syndicated sex and relationship columnist for the Toronto Sun, where my column The Sex Files appears each week. You may have also seen my expert commentary in i-D, ElleGQ, The New York Times, and Vice.

On Instagram, I regularly post about travel (I love quirky boutique hotels) and honest conversations about life as a freelance writer. I'm also the "giant" behind Joe the Intern, my very muscly desk mate that I photograph for the 'gram.

When I’m not analyzing the intricacies of modern romance, lugging my lap-top through an airport, or contorting my body to capture Joe the Intern's best angles, I love to read voraciously, travel frequently, and scour vintage shops in search of my next great find.
